About the Position: Hiscock Legal Aid seeks an attorney to join our growing Foreclosure Prevention Project (FPP) and represent homeowners facing foreclosure. Our FPP represents homeowners in a four county region (Onondaga, Oswego, Cortland, and Cayuga) of New York State. We provide advice and counsel, modification application assistant, representation in settlement conferences, and direct representation in litigation to homeowners facing foreclosure. This hire will be the third FPP attorney, thanks to expanded funding from the New York Stat Homeowners Protection Program. Our FPP attorneys are supported by a full-time law assistant.

Require Qualifications: Demonstrated commitment to public-interest law and to serving low-income persons. Admission or pending admission to New York Bar.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to multi-task while remaining detail-oriented. Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Diverse economic, social, and/or cultural experiences.

Salary: Depends on experience.
