The Grants Analyst assists in preparation of the grant and contract
budgets, analysis, and reports of expenditures. Provides administrative support
to CFO, for grants and contracts awarded to CELJ.
General - Assists in the preparation of position-specific
administrative procedures, completes miscellaneous duties as assigned,
takes initiative to solve problems and offer solutions, able to interpret
grants and contract-related transactions as it relates to CELJ policies,
and governmental regulations, able to adapt to CELJ financial systems,
exhibits effective communication and sound judgement.
In coordination with the CFO, assist with the monitoring and
management of grant budgets, development of budget projections, carry over
and re-budgeting of funding requests, and no-cost extension requests. Ongoing
correspondence with grant managers. Provides assurances that all sponsor
reporting requirements are met.
Maintain a working knowledge of and assist in the interpretation of
federal uniform guidance and CELJ policies and procedures.
Maintains program files for awarded grants and contracts. Will monitor
grant project start, renewal, and end dates to provide assurances of
proper and current award documentation. Will maintain proposal files for
grant and contract applications that have been submitted for funding but
not awarded.
Assist with monthly and year-end Close Works closely with CFO to
prepare timely and accurate entries.
Pre-award duties include assisting with budget preparation,
coordination of sub-contacts with collaborating institutions, and routing
of grant and contract proposals for appropriate institutional signatures.
Prior experience with NY Grants Gateway, DUNS and Grants.Gov preferred.
Travel may be required.
Qualifications
Preferred Education Field of Study - Accounting / Business / Finance
Prior knowledge of federal, foundation, industry, and corporate
grants.
Three to five years of direct/indirect experience in not for profit
grants/contracts administration
